On July 21, the durian plantation base in Sanya Yucai Ecological Zone hosted a domestic durian feast, a significant part of the 2024 China-ASEAN Durian Industry Seminar, attracting numerous experts, business representatives, government officials and tourists.
At the event venue, fresh durians were neatly arranged for attendees to taste, while multiple exhibition areas offered a variety of durian products such as durian ice cream, grilled durian, and durian egg tarts.
During the event, a competition for the "champion durian fruit" was held, where growers from Sanya, Ledong, Lingshui, Baoting, and other regions presented their cultivated durians. Experts judged the fruits based on criteria like appearance, aroma, and ripeness.
Currently, Sanya boasts over 10,000 mu (667 hectares) of durian plantations. Yucai Ecological Zone, a crucial agricultural area in Sanya, has collaborated with multiple research institutions and businesses in recent years to enhance durian quality and yield.
The durian industry seminar not only provided a platform for domestic and international durian industry players to collaborate, but also offered robust support for Sanya's durian industry to expand globally.
