In preparation for the upcoming 9th Asian Winter Games, Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, is set to reinforce the daily maintenance and management of its urban lighting facilities.
The city aims to efficiently upgrade and optimize its nightscape lighting, ensuring the lights are clean and functioning properly.
According to the relevant plans, these efforts will include regular inspections and maintenance, timely cleaning of surface dirt, and repair of tilted poles, damaged bases, and broken or missing lights.
Additionally, efforts will be made to eliminate safety hazards such as damaged control boxes and cable short circuits, ensuring that the facilities' integrity and lighting rate exceed 98 percent.
In the realm of nightscape lighting optimization and upgrading, Harbin will undertake comprehensive improvements to the lighting facilities surrounding the Asian Winter Games venues. This will also extend to the streets and roads connecting the athletes' and officials' accommodations, as well as the media headquarters.
Through these efforts, Harbin is committed to presenting a vibrant and welcoming cityscape for the Asian Winter Games, ensuring that both residents and visitors can enjoy a beautifully-lit urban environment.
