On Sept 26, China Eastern Airlines will launch direct flights from Xi'an to Milan, Italy, with flight number MU5013/4, operated by an Airbus A330 aircraft, offering three round-trip flights per week.
The flight departs from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport at 2:30 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and arrives at Milan Malpensa Airport at 7:30 pm, with a flight duration of 10 hours and 50 minutes.
The return flight departs from Milan at 9:30 pm, reaching Xi'an at 2 pm the following day. This is China Eastern Airlines' third European route originating from Xi'an.
Milan, renowned for its historical and cultural significance, fashion, and art, is one of Europe's four major economic centers and Italy's second-largest city. Xi'an not only boasts a rich history, but is also a vibrant and culturally rich modern city.
The launch of the route will make it easier to travel between these two unique cities.
By the end of September this year, China Eastern Airlines is expected to operate four China-Italy routes: Shanghai-Rome, Wenzhou-Rome, Shanghai-Venice, and Xi'an-Milan.
