According to data from Quzhou Customs, from January to May, Quzhou's total import and export value reached 30.43 billion yuan, a 12.6 percent increase year-on-year.
The exports alone amounted to 20.84 billion yuan, marking a 21.9 percent growth rate, the highest among cities in Zhejiang province.
An authority with the Quzhou bureau of commerce attributed the rapid growth of cross-border e-commerce to sustained market growth with increasing bilateral cooperation and the emergence of new markets.
Last year, Quzhou's cross-border e-commerce import and export volume reached 4.11 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 41.24 percent. This growth has propelled key industries such as hardware machinery, sports and outdoor equipment, and home goods to expand into overseas markets through cross-border e-commerce platforms.
Currently, the city has 42 overseas warehouses (both self-built and leased) covering a total area of about 200,000 square meters, serving nearly 700 clients.
Additionally, there are 24 cross-border e-commerce practice bases and industrial parks, offering comprehensive services to over 3,000 enterprises, with nearly 500 businesses already established within these facilities.
