The launch ceremony for the Benelux (Wuxi) Innovation Centre took place in Wuxi New District on July 16.
The Benelux Innovation Centre, established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 2020, aims to advance the internationalization of tech enterprises and facilitate the entry of European tech companies into the Chinese market. It comprises members from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, and collaborates with universities and government-run incubators from these countries. Notable partners include Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, RWTH Aachen University in Germany, and KU Leuven in Belgium.
The center works closely with institutions such as the EU SME Centre, organizing matchmaking events in Europe for tech companies looking to enter China. It serves as a crucial platform for connecting technological advancements from Benelux with international opportunities.
The new Wuxi center aims to attract more European technological resources like high-quality projects and talent teams to WND. It also seeks to help more Wuxi enterprises gain access to cutting-edge technologies and expand into the European market.
Li Minyun, director of WND's science and technology innovation promotion center, praised the achievements of the Benelux Innovation Centre in recruitment of high-level overseas talent and introducing high-end tech projects. She emphasized that in recent years, WND has continuously promoted cooperation with Europe, establishing bases in Belgium, Germany, and France to foster multi-field interactive exchanges.
