From July 12 to 13, diplomats from 32 countries visited Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region to experience the vibrant energy of its high-quality development.
At the Ordos Net-Zero Industrial Park, the first of its kind in the world, the diplomats toured facilities showcasing cutting-edge industries such as power batteries, smart energy storage, and green charging robots, all centered around clean energy and new materials. The innovative technologies on display left a lasting impression on the visitors.
The industrial park was jointly established by the Ordos municipal government and Envision Group, focusing on the development of low-carbon areas, energy storage demonstrations, and green energy alternatives. The diplomats engaged in earnest inquiries and gained a deep understanding of these initiatives.
Jacqueline Bell, minister-counsellor at the Jamaican Embassy in China, remarked, "The technological innovations achieved by this company in such a short time have deeply impressed me. We also have wind energy projects, but we have not yet met our own expectations, so we are interested in collaborating with China, Inner Mongolia, and Ordos."
At the site of the Yinkentala Desert Sand Control and Desertification Prevention Project, the diplomats listened to explanations by the guides. Everyone paused to admire the sight of vast greenery that was once nothing but yellow sand.
Norfarina Mohd Azmee, minister at the Malaysian Embassy in China, said, "This place is truly impressive. The continuous efforts over the past 40 years have been very successful. We can see a variety of vegetation here, all lush and green, while another area is still in the process of greening."
