On July 16, Xi'an Customs and Qingdao Customs signed a cooperation agreement to implement the "Land-Sea Linkage, Sea-Rail Direct Transportation" supervision model, further facilitating the development of the Yellow River land-sea transportation corridor.

The new supervision model is tailored by Xi'an Customs and Qingdao Customs to aid in the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin.

It features intelligent customs clearance, port extension, and direct transportation by customs, specifically designed for inland ports within the Yellow River basin.

Under this model, after companies complete customs clearance procedures at the inland port, the port will arrange vessel booking in advance. During customs transition, goods will be automatically released and verified. This approach reduces waiting time for goods at the port by 24 hours compared to traditional integrated customs clearance models.

On the same day, 12 containers loaded with synthetic leather and textiles arrived at Qingdao Port from South Korea. Under the supervision of Huangdao Customs, they underwent transit declaration, customs clearance review, and sealing procedures before being transferred by train to Xi'an.

Soon, these goods will be transshipped onto the China-Europe freight train bound for their final destination, Poland.

Moving forward, Xi'an Customs will collaborate with key customs offices along the Yellow River basin, including Qingdao, Jinan, and Zhengzhou, to expedite the flow along the Yellow River land-sea transportation corridor, better integrate resources, and contribute to the high-quality development of the Yellow River basin.
