Guiyang and Gui'an see increase in urban employment since 2021

Since the 11th Guiyang Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2021, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have prioritized high-quality and sufficient employment as the most important project affecting people's livelihoods.

Precision strategies have been implemented to expand employment capacity and improve job quality. As a result, a total of 530,900 new jobs have been created in urban areas, with 366,400 college and university graduates retained or attracted to work in Guiyang and Gui'an.

To increase job opportunities, Guiyang and Gui'an have coordinated policy-based positions and expanded recruitment for research assistants, enlistment, State-owned enterprises, and classes educated according to the employment demands of enterprises.

Guiyang and Gui'an have also encouraged the development of rural vitalization and community worker positions. In 2023, 14,800 government public service positions were created, and 8,966 public positions have been developed this year.

Guiyang and Gui'an have also tapped jobs at companies involving key industries, such as central government-owned manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicle, electronic information manufacturing, aluminum and aluminum processing, the phosphorus chemical industry, organic food, medicine, and the software and information technology service industries.

Last year, a total of 371,000 job postings were released. From January to May this year, 170,000 job postings were issued. Additionally, leveraging the advantages of human resources service agencies, Guiyang and Gui'an have enhanced market-oriented services and found 138,300 flexible employment opportunities in new types of employment, as well as other flexible positions.

Guiyang and Gui'an have insisted on prioritizing employment and entrepreneurship among young people like university and college graduates. Focusing on five major elements – talent service cards, funds, household registration, housing, and job positions – Guiyang and Gui'an have provided diversified guarantee services for employment.

Guiyang and Gui'an have issued over 260,000 "Zhucai" talent service cards and implemented subsidies for employee recruitment, job-seeking, and entrepreneurship.

According to statistics, subsidies totaling 143 million yuan have been disbursed this year, benefiting 69,700 individuals. Furthermore, Guiyang and Gui'an have developed a talent housing security system, allowing 347 high-level talents to reside rent-free in talent apartments at both the municipal and district levels.

Guiyang and Gui'an have also offered "Zhumeng Stations" for free rental housing, serving 41,000 young people. They have gathered over 70,000 public and private-owned rental apartments, disbursed 2.63 million yuan in rental subsidies to graduates staying in Guiyang and Gui'an, and provided 5.4 million yuan in housing subsidies.
