The wheat fields of Togtoh county, nestling by the Yellow River, are currently abuzz with the sounds of harvest.
As the wheat enters its peak harvesting season, the sight of rippling golden wheat and the hum of combine harvesters paint a vibrant picture of abundance.
In Liulintan village, heavy and full wheat heads sway gently in the breeze, in a vast ocean of gold. Seizing the favorable weather, farmers drive their harvesters through the fields, transforming the ripe wheat into golden grain that is swiftly transported by farm vehicles.

During the harvest, local agencies such as the agricultural and animal husbandry bureau and the water resources bureau work closely with the regional meteorological departments.
They provide timely weather forecasts to guide farmers in scheduling their harvests efficiently, ensuring minimal losses due to adverse conditions.
This year, Liulintan village has sown over 700 mu (47 hectares) of wheat. Under scientific management and expert guidance, the crops have thrived, showing no signs of disease, with an estimated yield of over 350 kilograms per mu.
In recent years, Togtoh county in Hohhot has prioritized its food security by promoting new agricultural technologies, introducing high-yield crop varieties and improving irrigation infrastructure. These efforts are said to have significantly advanced the county's agricultural modernization and laid a solid foundation for its annual grain production.
