Taicang Sino-German Half Marathon to be held in Nov

Organized by the Taicang Municipal People's Government, the 2024 Taicang Sino-German Half Marathon is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am on Nov 11 in Taicang, Suzhou, in East China's Jiangsu province.

Taicang is known as the "home of German enterprises in China". Accordingly, in a fusion of Chinese and German culture, the course of the marathon is designed to weave together the natural beauty, bustling cityscape, and European-style attractions in the city. Food supplies and snacks provided during and after the race will also include an array of Chinese and German cuisine, such as Suzhou-style pastries, German-style sausages, and bread.

As a gesture to further promote the integration and exchange among enterprises, a team competition is specially planned for groups from corporations, institutions, associations, and universities.

The registration period for this event runs from July 16 to 5:00 pm on Aug 11. Participants will be chosen through a random drawing from the registered names.
