Tian'e county, home to the world's largest concrete arch bridge and the Longtan Hydropower Station, was recently recognized as a model county for ethnic unity. Tian'e connects over 30 ethnic groups with neighboring regions in Guangxi and Guizhou.
In recent years, Tian'e has fostered ethnic unity through various initiatives such as the construction of cultural squares and reading rooms as well as the organization of diverse cultural events. To date, it has established 22 cultural squares, 169 reading rooms or pavilions, and 1,655 activities of various types.
Tian'e also integrates ethnic unity with economic and social development, enhancing education in schools. The county's tourism strategy promotes ethnic culture and tourism, developing top-rated tourist spots and fostering economic growth.
