The China Automotive Engineering Research Institute unveiled the International Expert Group for its Automotive Index Technical Expert Committee on Thursday.
The newly established group, which includes university professors and experts from leading carmakers, would foster the global collaboration in automotive assessment technologies with broader international perspectives.
CAERI Automotive Index has developed three core assessment systems in terms of the vehicle performance of safety, intelligence, and health.
Now over 50 domestic and international automotive companies have adopted the index as a development standard. It was recently incorporated into the global automotive safety standards by Germany's CARHS.
This significant advancement strengthens China's influence in the global automotive industry and accelerates the internationalization of Chinese automakers.
