Shanghai investment promotion drives new city development

The 2024 "Tides in Huangpu River" Shanghai Global Investment Promotion Season concluded on July 10 in Fengxian New City, Shanghai.

The event centered on the development of Shanghai's "five new cities": Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian, and Nanhui.

The Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission unveiled 21 significant projects aimed at improving these new urban areas, with a strong focus on industry leadership, public capacity building, resource assurance, and innovative governance mechanisms.

Additionally, central districts such as Jing'an, Changning, Huangpu, Xuhui, and Pudong signed key partnership agreements with the five new cities to promote various collaborative projects, thus contributing to Shanghai's overall development goals.

The partnership between Nanhui New City and Pudong New Area aims to optimize vehicle-road cloud integration system, fostering innovation in Shanghai's smart automotive industry. Additionally, this collaboration will accelerate the construction of the Lin-gang branch of Pudong Hospital, which is set to significantly improve medical services in the area.
