The Xizang autonomous region launched a cultural and tourism roadshow in Beijing from July 9 to 10. Unique local ethnic dances, songs, intangible cultural heritage items, as well as culture and tourism products, were showcased to the residents of the capital city.
Ma Lin, an official from the Xizang Culture and Tourism Department, and Sun Chenglong, deputy general manager of CTG Travel (Our Tour), attended the opening ceremony of the roadshow, which also commemorated the 30th anniversary of the aid-Xizang program.
During the roadshow, the autonomous region introduced cultural and tourism resources and routes encompassing gourmet cuisine and ethnic elements, alongside the announcement of favorable travel policies.
Simultaneously, a grand gala showcasing stories of Beijing's assistance to Xizang was presented alongside the roadshow. The performance attracted over 3,200 attendees, including individuals who have participated in the aid-Xizang program.
