Classic dramas reimagine Dunhuang's heritage

As the summer season unfolds, Dunhuang is buzzing with excitement as four captivating classic dramas take center stage, attracting eager spectators. These timeless productions, each showcasing the rich cultural heritage of China, are captivating audiences with their artistry and storytelling.

Dunhuang has introduced four classic dramas based on the following themes: the desert live-action drama "Dunhuang Grand Ceremony", the indoor experience drama "Rediscovering Dunhuang", the cave-style immersive experience drama "Dynamic Dunhuang", and the situational sound and light drama "Thousand-Hand Thousand-Eye."

The four classic dramas have become a cultural feast for tourists, enriching Dunhuang's cultural tourism. These live productions not only expand the range of tourists' experiences, but also provide a close-up encounter with the unique charm of Dunhuang's rich cultural heritage.

According to statistics from the Dunhuang cultural and tourism department, in the first half of this year, the four plays were presented 711 times, attracting 328,500 audiences.
