The 2024 Mingyue Lake·π Global Innovation Conference commenced in Liangjiang New Area on July 10.
A highlight of the conference, the AI Big Model Innovation Development Forum, themed "AI Driving, Leading the Future," gathered academicians, experts, and industry leaders.
They engaged in comprehensive discussions on crucial topics including local product supply, technology research and development, application scenario innovation, policy support, talent cultivation, and industrial development.
The aim is to promote the practical application of AI large model technologies and build a robust ecosystem for industrial development.
The forum featured keynote speeches from academicians, special events, major releases, and thematic sharing sessions. Highlights included the awarding of the Computing Industrial Park and the launch of the 2024 Mingyue Lake·π International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
Numerous AI large model products from leading local enterprises were unveiled, and representatives from top industry firms shared typical case studies, forward-looking insights, and in-depth reflections on the "AI+" industry.
Deng Zhongliang, an academician of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, emphasized the significance of AI big models and spatial-temporal big data during his keynote speech. "The AI big models based on big data, including super computing power, provide new vitality to the digital economy. Advanced spatial-temporal perception could be a fundamental cornerstone in demonstrating the value of AI big models and big data application," remarked Deng.
Kang Guangrong, a member of the Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, highlighted the area's active promotion of the AI big model industry and the steady advancement of the digital transformation in manufacturing. Liangjiang New Area leads Chongqing in the number of intelligent transformation projects, smart factories, and digital workshops, offering a wealth of scenarios for the application of AI big models.
Liangjiang has established an intelligent computing capacity of 1,800 kilowatts, represented by Changan Automobile Computing Center, Cloudwalk Western Computing Center, and Mingyue Lake Computing Center. The comprehensive computing facilities are spearheading industrial growth in the area.
The two-day event also includes the 2024 Computing Power Internet Conference (Chongqing) and a series of sub-forums on topics such as Computing Power Identification and Computing Power Network, Innovative Applications of Computing Power Internet, and the Development of Cloud-Edge-End Distributed Computing Power.
