Since 2018, McCain Foods (China) has donated over 70,000 meals annually, showcasing their commitment to philanthropy work.
This May, McCain Foods (Shanghai) provided essential supplies to low-income families of sanitation workers. It plans to assist local charitable organizations, impoverished families, and children at migrant worker schools and fulfill the wishes of seriously ill children, demonstrating ongoing commitment to social welfare and community development.
McCain Foods (Shanghai) officially began operating in the Minhang area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District on April 25. Company representatives expressed their intention to make the area the primary location for future business development.
Founded in Canada, McCain Foods has 55 factories across five continents, with its products reaching over 160 countries and regions. Globally, every one out of four French fries consumed are McCain products. With nearly 70 years of history, McCain Foods topped the 2022 Global Top 100 Food and Beverage Brands list (Potato Products category) and has consistently ranked among the top 10 in global food brand value lists.
Sustainable development is a cornerstone of McCain's global strategy. One key pillar, "Expanding Prosperous Communities", focuses on supporting vulnerable families and local farmers to stimulate economic development and employment. Through partnerships with charitable organizations and volunteer policies, McCain actively contributes to community well-being.
Last year, McCain Foods (China) donated over 72,000 meals and recorded more than 500 volunteer hours, earning the 2023 China Corporate Social Responsibility Award for Social Innovation Contribution.
