Taiyuan airport reports growth in international passenger traffic

According to Taiyuan Airport Customs, in the first half of this year, the cumulative number of inbound and outbound passengers at Taiyuan Aviation Port reached 67,000, an increase of 576.39 percent year-on-year. There were 630 inbound and outbound passenger flights, an increase of 343.66 percent year-on-year.

To ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance for passengers, Taiyuan Airport Customs has adopted advanced technologies such as "smart inspection."

In customs clearance lanes, 100-percent pre-flight machine inspection for checked baggage and X-ray inspection for carry-on baggage are available, further improving passenger clearance efficiency and enhancing the overall travel experience.

Taiyuan Wusu International Airport currently offers international passenger and cargo routes to destinations such as Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand, Nha Trang in Vietnam, Cheongju in South Korea, Sydney in Australia, Moscow in Russia, and Chicago in the United States.

The continuous expansion of international routes provides efficient and convenient air transportation for inbound and outbound travelers from Shanxi province and beyond, promoting international exchanges and cooperation between Shanxi and various parts of the world.

The number of international flights at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport has increased to 32 flights per week, and future route expansions will accelerate based on travel demand.
