The Malaysia-China Food Industry Park was officially established in Xi'an on July 4, with guests from China and Malaysia in attendance, marking a significant step towards deepening cooperation and exchanges between the two nations.

Located in the Jinghe New City of Xixian New Area, the project boasts a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($137.57 million) and covers an area of approximately 40 mu (2.67 hectares).

The project aims to introduce 10 Malaysian food companies, including FGV, one of Malaysia's largest palm oil producers, to create a Malaysian specialty food industrial park centered around palm oil and complemented by products such as chocolate, coffee, fruit juice, hamburgers, and seafood.

The park's development plan also includes modern facilities such as production workshops, office buildings, and research facilities, providing comprehensive hardware support for the companies within the park.

"We hope that through this cooperation, we can offer Chinese consumers the high-quality coffee, chocolate, and other products produced in our country," said Consul General Lum Wan Liang of the Malaysian Consulate General in Xi'an.

The establishment of the park not only symbolizes the friendship between the two nations but also drives economic, cultural, and humanistic cooperation, aiding in mutual development.
