An 11-member delegation led by Deanna Easton, counselor of the Australian Embassy in China, visited North China's Shanxi province from June 26 to 28.

During their visit, the delegation attended a business matchmaking event organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Shanxi Province. Representatives from various provincial departments and enterprises, including the Department of Ecology and Environment of Shanxi province, the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, Shanxi Aviation Industry Group Co, and Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Group Co, talked with the Australian delegation about potential collaborations in green energy, digital mines, finance, and environmental protection.
Easton said this visit has been very fruitful and expressed her admiration and appreciation for the capabilities and professionalism of Shanxi's enterprises, hoping for future collaboration to promote the sustainable development and prosperity of both China and Australia.
The delegation also visited and held discussions with Jinneng Holding Group, the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, Shanxi Construction Investment Group Co and Taiyuan Rail Transit Group. They explored potential partnerships in areas such as financial investment, urban planning and renewal, and public art design.
