The 34th Qingdao International Beer Festival will be held in Qingdao from July 19 to August 11, according to news released on June 28.
Organized by the People's Government of Qingdao, the subject of the festival this year is "Qingdao ganbei (toasts) with the world". It is one of the largest festivals in the country combining tourism, culture, sports, economy and trade.
The event will feature two venues in the Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) and Laoshan district, with concurrent distinctive activities in other districts and cities to further enhance the city's reputation as the capital of Chinese beer.
The venue in the Qingdao WCNA of this year's beer festival will be located at the Golden Beach Beer City, featuring seven zones including a beer pavilion, leisure food area, fashion trends area, and beer culture expo.
The Laoshan venue will be at the Century Square Beer City and will include five zones. Activities will include an opening ceremony, themed days, exciting performances, fashion and cultural creativity, and a comprehensive beer carnival.
During the beer festival, districts across Qingdao will also hold beer carnival activities to boost excitement for the festival.
Over the years, the Qingdao International Beer Festival has developed into the biggest of its kind in China and a grand Oriental beer event with strong international impact.
