6 athletes from Jinan selected for Paris Olympics

So far, six athletes from Jinan - Li Yuehong, Liang Xiaoya, Xin Xin, Shan Mengyuan, Wang Mengjie, and Cui Chenxi - have qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics due to their outstanding performances.

Cui Chenxi, born in Jinan on Dec 19, 2009, is a skateboarder. She was selected to compete in the women's street event at the Paris Olympics on June 23.

Shan Mengyuan, born on July 23, 2000, is a sailor. She has been named to the national sailing and windsurfing team to compete in the women's 49erFX event at the Paris Olympics.

Xin Xin, born in Jinan in 1996, is a swimmer on the Chinese women's swimming team. She has qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Liang Xiaoya, born on April 20, 2007, is a 25-meter sports pistol shooter. On March 20, she was selected for the Chinese national shooting team’s rifle and pistol squad to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Li Yuehong, born in Jinan on June 11, 1989, is a 25-meter rapid fire pistol shooter. He joined the national team in 2009 and is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist. Li has also won multiple gold medals at the World Shooting Championships.

Wang Mengjie, born in Jinan on Nov 14, 1995, is a volleyball player. In 2024, she qualified for the Paris Olympics as a key libero for the Chinese women's volleyball team by participating in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League.
