In recent years, North Chuangye has been making efforts to contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative by thoroughly understanding user needs and exporting high-quality products and technologies to relevant countries and regions.
An export contract for 820 railway freight cars was signed between North Chuangye and Pakistan Railways on Dec 23, 2021, marking North Chuangye's first entry into the Pakistani railway freight car market.
This project includes four types of cars – gondola cars, flatcars, covered cars, and brake vans, which will be transported to Pakistan in three states – fully assembled, partially assembled, and disassembled.
By the end of 2023, a total of 200 completely built units had been delivered. With the final batch of disassembled products shipped in June, the production and delivery of partially assembled and fully disassembled products to Pakistan will be completed within the year. All partially assembled and fully disassembled products will also be produced on a trial basis, mass-produced before starting operations in Pakistan.
The project marks a new chapter in Pakistan's ability to locally produce railway freight cars, significantly contributing to the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. It also signifies that North Chuangye's international trade business has expanded from single product exports to a "product + service" model, making it more competitive in overseas markets.
