Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong, met with Murat Kökoğlu, CEO of Turkiye-based Köksan PET Packaging Industry Co, on June 28.
After briefly explaining the economic and social development of Nantong, Wu mentioned that Nantong and Turkiye boast a solid foundation for cooperation and tremendous cooperation potential.
In recent years, exchanges and interactions between the two sides have become increasingly close, he added.
This year, Nantong launched its first flight to Turkiye, indicating that more opportunities for economic and trade cooperation between the two places are emerging.
Wu noted that Nantong is seizing the opportunities brought about by national strategies such as the Yangtze River Delta integration to continuously expand its opening-up.
Köksan is a well-known Turkiye-based company and its core business is closely related to Nantong's strongest industrial chains, Wu said. Therefore, he expects the company to strengthen cooperation with industrial and supply chains in Nantong and establish an important YRD base in the Chinese city.
He also said that Nantong is developing a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, legal-based, and international.
Kökoğlu thanked local authorities for their support for the company's development in the city and said the company is confident in its investment in Nantong and will deepen pragmatic cooperation with the Chinese city.
