Rescuing a lost greater coucal after the rain

After a sudden rainstorm, a confused young greater coucal wandered into the Armed Forces Department of Dashan Township in Yongde county, Yunnan province. Staff paused their work to calm and inspect the bird, finding no injuries but realizing it was lost due to its young age. They also provided temporary shelter and contacted the Yunnan Yongde Daxueshan National Nature Reserve for professional help. Thanks to everyone's efforts, the bird, ready to return to nature, was safely delivered to the reserve. Greater coucal is a national second-class protected species.
