Jiuquan, a city in Gansu province, showcased over 40 kinds of cultural and creative products at the 9th China (Shenzhen) International Tourism Industry Expo, held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, from June 20 to June 23.
The exhibited products included intricate model rockets, refrigerator magnets, astronaut-themed cups, clay tablet paintings, mineral specimens and pigments. An interactive experience area featuring a Dunhuang stone powder painting course drew the attention of numerous travel service providers and visitors.
Wang Huan, deputy general manager of Jiuquan Cultural Tourism Group, highlighted Jiuquan's educational travel resources during the event. He focused particularly on the aerospace patriotism education courses offered at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.
In recent years, Jiuquan has developed and designated 56 study and travel bases for primary and secondary school students. Study tours have become a significant driver of the high-quality development of Jiuquan's cultural tourism industry.
Dunhuang cultural and artistic study, aerospace science and technology study, and geological science study have emerged as prominent brands in Jiuquan tourism.
