Where can you find giant pandas besides at the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Pandas and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding? The Nantong Forest Safari Park, of course!
The zoo is inhabited by two giant pandas named Xingfan, or "Twinkling of the Stars", and Xinghui, or "Brightness of the Stars".
Both Xingfan and Xinghui have developed a habit of climbing trees when they were cubs, making them a headache for the breeders who are responsible for bringing them back to their sleeping rooms.
In January 2019, the two giant pandas arrived in the Nantong Forest Safari Park from Chengdu and 15 days later, they officially met with visitors. They have since become the stars of the zoo, bringing endless delight to tourists.
To help them live more comfortably, employees at the zoo have grown numerous trees and made artificial hills and other entertainment facilities in their 8,000-square-meter living place. Every day, their breeders design and prepare nutritious meals in their exclusive kitchen.
Occupying an area of 2 million sq m, the Nantong Forest Safari Park is one of the largest wildlife parks in the Yangtze River Delta and houses nearly 20,000 rare animals of 300 species. It offers tourists three ways to tour the park – by bike, foot or ship.
