Hainan's only plant seed import port resumes operations

With support from Sanya Phoenix International Airport Customs and Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Management Bureau, the plant seed import port of Sanya, also the only plant seed import port in Hainan, has resumed operation.

Sanya's unique climate makes it a base for agricultural breeding in China. On June 18, a flight carrying experimental wheat seeds exported from Switzerland landed at Sanya airport. This event will enhance the service capabilities of the city's seed industry.

Following the reinstatement of this qualification, Sanya airport can now import eight categories of plant materials, including seedlings, seeds, and tissue-cultured seedlings.

Sanya airport will continue to refine its service functions and establish diverse channels for imports, ensuring the smooth operation of seed air transport demands.
