In the prefecture-level city of Zhumadian, Henan province, Wang Linna is in charge of China Grain Reserve's Zhumadian Warehouse Co. Speaking of the most impressive moments since she started her career with the company, Wang said she was appreciative of getting through "tough times with the help of the local government and police officials to reduce company losses".
At the end of last year, the Economic Development Zone Sub-bureau of the Zhumadian Public Security Bureau took action based on relevant information and helped recover her company's losses.
To show gratitude, Wang and her colleagues presented a banner to the sub-bureau for the police's wholehearted and dutiful efforts in handling the situation.
Founded in June 1992, the Zhumadian Economic Development Zone has become a core urban area, serving as the seat of the Party municipal committee and municipal government, and also includes key administrative bodies and covers an area of 100 square kilometers with some 268,000 residents.
The local police bureau has launched a "10,000 Police Helping 10,000 Enterprises" campaign, aiming to help local businesses overcome difficulties and boost their healthy development.
The development zone is focused on deep processing of agricultural products, and boosting modern services centered on modern logistics, modern commerce, modern finance and emerging information tech sectors anchored by 5G.
Chen Xinxi, head of Zhumadian Kangda Packaging Products Co Ltd, spoke highly of the drive, saying enterprises have more confidence in developing businesses with proactive actions by the police, and a healthier economic environment has thus been created.
Chen said the Zhumadian Economic Development Zone is striving to optimize its all-round services to better equip enterprises to invest and develop there, helping to make firms bigger and stronger.
To better maintain the stable development of businesses in the region, Wang Ruitao, captain of the sub-bureau's Economic Investigation Brigade, led a team to conduct an on-site tour to local enterprises and launched a law-awareness publicity event recently.
"We started this event with the theme of escorting the healthy development of enterprises, and explained cases pertaining to economic crimes such as occupational crimes, issuing fake invoices and contract fraud to enterprise employees," Wang Ruitao said.
He added: "We also address legal issues encountered by employees on-site, guiding companies to strengthen legal risk prevention and use legal means to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests."
Xiao Jing, Wang Ruitao's colleague, stressed that the campaign as a whole aims to optimize the legal and security environment for business, and provide timely, convenient, accurate and high-quality services for enterprises.
Xiao said that through in-depth engagement with frontline enterprises, getting to know their needs and resolving relevant problems, the drive will help promote the high-quality development of businesses in a law-based business environment.
