Sanya serves as sub-venue of Hainan Island Carnival

The 2024 Hainan Island Carnival commenced on June 16, offering a week-long celebration that blends tourism, culture, art, and entertainment.

Sanya, as a sub-venue of the event, offers various activities related to arts, exhibitions, performances, and shopping discounts.

On June 5, the Xi Island Ecological Art Festival 2024, a part of the Hainan Island Carnival, launched in Sanya.

The festival runs until Oct 8 during the four-month period, Xi Island is poised to be transformed into a stage for artistic creation. The initiative aims to promote cooperation with artists who possess a global ecological awareness, inviting them to exhibit their works or create new ones on the Island.

This event seeks to uncover and highlight the environmental and cultural beauty of the Xi Island, encouraging the creation of works that emphasize the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature.

These works will be focused on positive ideas such as biodiversity protection, ocean health, climate change, advocacy of human settlements, and advocacy of sustainable ecological development.

Sanya will host the 2024 Sanya Economic Circle Tropical Rainforest Challenge, aiming to create a high-end sport, parent-child learning, and tourism event IP.

The city's offshore duty-free stores, airlines, and tourist attractions have launched consumer coupons and discounts to attract consumers.

In addition, an auto show, some music performances, painting exhibitions, and many other activities will be held in Sanya during the carnival.
