Big Data Expo 2024 to kick off in Guiyang in August

According to a news conference held on May 29, the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2024 is scheduled to be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, in late August this year, with the specific date to be announced.

The expo will feature an exhibition on digital economy and data elements, along with opening and closing ceremonies, dialogues, achievement releases, competitions, and other activities.

The digital economy and data element exhibition, a major part of the Big Data Expo 2024, will focus on the latest industry trends and cutting-edge technological developments, providing an exchange and cooperation platform for innovation and development of global digital economy.

It will cover an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters and feature six main pavilions: the International Pavilion, Cutting-edge Technology Pavilion, Data Resource Pavilion, "Data Elements ×" Pavilion, Data Security Pavilion and Infrastructure Pavilion.

It will showcase new technologies, products, solutions, and applications in the field of big data, as well as the latest achievements from well-known enterprises and institutions at home and abroad, with more than 300 companies set to participate.

During the exhibition, activities such as announcement of corporate self-release achievements will be held to provide a platform for brand promotion and display.

During the dialogue session, topics will include data governance and policy regulations, data technology and industrial ecological environment, data resources and circulation transactions, data application and innovation-driven development, data security and privacy protection, infrastructure and computing power allocation, data cooperation and international exchange.

Distinguished guests from domestic and foreign government, business, education, research, and media sectors will be invited.

During the achievement release session, three main types of releases are planned: first, the release of policy documents. In collaboration with relevant national departments, the release will include the latest industry standards, new policies, policy interpretations, and pilot demonstrations.

Second, a release of leading technology achievements will be held. After collecting technology achievements in basic science, application scenarios, and application technologies in the field of big data on a global scale, the most cutting-edge, influential, industry-changing and innovative technologies and achievements will be selected and released.

Third, corporate self-release achievements will be announced, which will involve the launch of new big data products, technologies, projects, and scenarios developed by enterprises.

The competitions will include activities related to the 2024 "Data Elements ×" Competition, aiming to cultivate the data element market, promote the market-oriented reform of data element allocation, and promote the integrated development of the digital economy and the real economy.
