Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai take the top three spots among the 100 most competitive cities in artificial intelligence development in China, according to the China Artificial Intelligence City Competitiveness Ranking Research Report co-released by TMTPost Group, Firestone Inventing, and JD Group at the 2024 Consumer Technology and Innovation Exhibition (CTIS), which kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on June 13.
By assessing the development level of 338 sample cities in China in the AI domain through four dimensions — factor reserves, development potential, benefit output, and urban penetration — the report aims to showcase the latest progress of artificial intelligence in various cities nationwide.
In addition, it aims to assist each city in formulating comprehensive industrial plans and action guidelines, attracting investment and talent, and helping enterprises devise improved market strategies.
The three-day exhibition focuses on seven tracks, encompassing AI, new energy vehicles, metaverse, robotics, smart homes, audio, and computer peripherals, drawing the participation of over 600 technology brands, startups, and consumer electronics companies.
It features 16 technology experience zones for visitors to engage with cutting-edge technology, especially an Apple Vision Pro and an intelligent connected RV experience area.
