The stainless steel industry in Dainan town in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, is picking up the pace of growth and to boot its riding high-end, green and intelligent development trends.
Known as the capital of stainless steel in China, Dainan has become one of the top 100 industrial clusters in the country. It is a 100 billion-level industrial giant that Jiangsu province actively nurtures.
One beneficiary is Jinqiao Welding Materials (Jiangsu) Co Ltd, based in Dainan town, whose factory has achieved full intelligent production –
from wire drawing and copper plating to winding and packaging.
Another company, Jiangsu Xinghai Special Steel Co Ltd, has participated in the development of special welding materials for China's first fourth generation nuclear power demonstration fast reactor, resolving a bottleneck problem of key materials.
Currently, the town is home to one industrial Internet benchmark factory and six national specialized and sophisticated little giant enterprises that produce new and unique products.
The term little giant enterprises refer to companies that typically specialize in niche sectors, command high market shares and boast strong innovative capacity – and are considered highly specialized market leaders.
Dainan is also home to 33 provincial specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises – that produce new and unique products – and 159 national high-tech enterprises.
