In a recent landmark deal, renowned European aluminum processing company Alu Menziken (AME) was fully acquired by Mengtai Group, an enterprise based in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The acquisition, which involves the purchase of all of AME's shares from the controlling shareholder Montana Group, makes Mengtai Group the sole owner of the company.
This strategic move follows Mengtai Group's significant acquisition of the European aluminum processing company APT Group in 2020 and marks another milestone in its expansion into key markets.
AME, a long-time manufacturer specializing in lightweight aluminum components, is esteemed for its consistently high-quality products.
The company, which has over 700 employees, is headquartered in Reinach, Switzerland, and operates four production facilities across three European countries.
With integrated production capabilities covering the entire value chain from raw material casting, extrusion, and surface treatment to component assembly, AME focuses on developing and manufacturing electric battery system solutions, structural components, and collision management systems.
The company supplies products to key players in the automotive, construction, industrial, and pneumatic sectors, including globally renowned brands like Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Bosch, and Schindler.
