A delegation of overseas Chinese businessmen – led by Sun Bin, former deputy director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Jiangsu province – on June 6 visited the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone, in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province.
They visited Jiangsu Sunpower Co Ltd, Jiangsu Beiao Precision Machinery Co Ltd and the zone's institute of bio-fermentation and future food research, to learn about their main business and innovative products.
Costing 1.2 billion yuan ($165.41 million), Jiangsu Sunpower Co Ltd's Phase III production plant was completed in 2020, with an annual output of 650 million Ah power lithium-ion batteries. The company says this ranks it among the top three in the lithium-ion electric tool field nationwide.
The delegation said they would leverage the competitive edge of overseas Chinese businessmen to help the company expand into larger markets.
In a factory run by Jiangsu Beiao Precision Machinery Co Ltd, the visitors exchanged ideas about the facilities and equipment in key areas such as automatic welding machines and cement mixing systems.
In the institute of bio-fermentation and future food research, the delegation visited the product display area and testing platforms.
