During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 8 to 10, Baotou Airport handled 168 flight movements and a passenger throughput of 16,220, showing an increase in passenger flow.
The most popular travel destinations for residents were Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, and other cities.
To better meet the travel needs of residents during the holiday, Baotou Airport has introduced or resumed flights to several cities, including Chongqing, Zhengzhou, Qingdao, and Linfen. Among them, Zhengzhou had up to four flights per day.
Additionally, on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, Baotou Airport provided traditional festive gifts such as zongzi (sweet dumplings), five-color ropes, and sachets to passengers in the terminal, allowing them to experience the charm of traditional culture in a warm atmosphere.
Moving forwards, Baotou Airport will continue to closely monitor aviation market demand, coordinate with airlines to continuously optimize the route structure, and enhance flight service capabilities.
