Volunteers from the Mo Wensui Volunteer Service Team in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) offered services to local senior residents on June 7 to mark the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival, or Duanwu Festival.
At the Mo Wensui breakfast service spot in Tongsheng Community, volunteers made zongzi, or glutinous rice dumplings wrapped in reeds or bamboo leaves, and perfume satchels with local residents after preparing and giving out breakfast.

On the same day, volunteers helped over 40 senior residents cut their hair and sharpen 24 pairs of scissors and chopping knives, while traditional Chinese medicine volunteers offered medical consultations and took the blood pressure of 80 people.
Feng Xiaoyong, who is in charge of the Mo Wensui breakfast service spot, noted that it has become their routine to provide volunteer services on traditional Chinese festivals.
