The opening ceremony of the 10th "Quzhou Lanke Cup" Chinese Go Championship took place in Quzhou, Zhejiang province on June 11.
This prestigious event has drawn the top 32 domestic players based on their national rankings, including Gu Zihao, Ding Hao, Wang Xinghao, last year's champion Li Xuanhao, and runner-up Fan Tingyu.
Over the next week, these elite players will engage in strategic battles on the Go board in Keshan and Wenping. The tournament will consist of five rounds of competition, culminating in the final match on June 17.
The "Quzhou Lanke Cup" Chinese Go Championship, one of the highest-ranking and most prestigious professional Go tournaments in China, has been held biennially since its inception in 2006.
As an embodiment of Quzhou's rich Go culture and the oldest Go event, the "Quzhou Lanke Cup" consistently attracts renowned domestic Go players. Past champions of this esteemed tournament include Yu Bin, Gu Li, and Xie He.
