Chiron China, a leading machine tool company, recently held a technical open day event to showcase the fruitful results of its twelve-year dedication to development in the Taicang High-Tech Zone.
During the three-day event, Chiron displayed a range of products, including brand-new models imported from Germany and locally assembled products developed at its factory in Taicang, set to soon enter the Chinese market.
Ren Jiaping, chief executive officer of Chiron China, expressed gratitude for the support received from various government entities during the company's development in Taicang. He highlighted that the company's business in China has grown more than tenfold through its Taicang operations, marking a transformation from a simple sales and service company to a tightly integrated CNC machine tool manufacturing enterprise.
In 2012, Chiron established a factory in the Taicang High-Tech Zone, introducing its most successful models for assembly. Evolving from a mere sales office to achieving comprehensive localization in production, research and development, sales, and services, Chiron China has seen a 300 percent increase in business volume and a threefold expansion in factory size.
The Taicang High-Tech Zone is currently home to a cluster of high-end CNC machine tool and intelligent equipment enterprises, with notable players in the machine tool industry. The zone is focusing on high-end CNC machine tools and intelligent production lines, and is accelerating the development of an industrial equipment hub. By the end of 2023, the zone had attracted 183 high-end equipment enterprises, generating a total output value of 84.73 billion yuan ($11.68 billion), marking a 10.4 percent year-on-year increase.
