Representatives of government departments and enterprises from Southwest China's Guizhou province recently visited Imereti Region, Georgia, and held discussions with local officials such as Zviad Shalamberidze, state representative of Imereti.
In recent years, Guizhou has expanded economic and trade exchanges with Georgia. Products such as baijiu, tires, and steel have entered the Georgian market, and the construction of the E60 expressway by Guizhou Highway Engineering Group Co is currently underway.
Guizhou's enterprises engaged in wine trade, cross-border e-commerce, and mineral trade participated in the visit. It is hoped that this visit will serve as an opportunity to deepen cooperation between the two sides in trade, investment, resource development, and infrastructure construction.
Shalamberidze said that he paid a visit to Guizhou in 2023 and learned about the province's economic development, history, culture, and investment environment, and witnessed the signing of a tentative agreement to establish friendly relations between the two sides.
He hopes to carry out in-depth exchanges with Guizhou, promoting efficient cooperation between the two sides in industry, economy, trade, agriculture, culture, and tourism, so as to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
