On June 4, the A Date with China international media tour members visited Jiaxiang county, which is known as the “hometown of Lu brocade in China”. Journalists from both domestic and international media outlets, along with internet celebrities, toured the Chunqiuyuan Lu Brocade Museum, experienced Lu brocade weaving techniques, and learned to make Lu brocade knot buttons and Lu brocade health hammers. The Lu brocade health hammer, wrapped in tea powder and cassia seeds, is a massage tool used for tapping and massaging acupoints.
Originated in southwestern Shandong province, Lu brocade refers to hand-woven jacquard cotton textiles. Its patterns are vibrant and beautiful, with 22 colors of thread interweaving to create over 1,900 patterns. One of the representatives of Shandong's folk culture and arts, Lu brocade has a long history, and symbolizes the accumulation of splendid culture and the crystallization of folk wisdom.
