Enterprise grateful for Guiyang's improved business environment

Workers from Guizhou Haoyiduo Dairy Co milk cows at the dairy farm in the morning and then send the milk to their factory for further processing. By 4 pm, all the dairy products have been packaged and will be delivered to customers in 24 hours.

The company was set up in Southwest China's Guizhou province 20 years ago and has transformed from an unknown milk processing plant into a leading dairy enterprise focusing on the research, production and sales of dairy products, with an annual output value surpassing 400 million yuan ($56.4 million).

"Guiyang's business environment is better, this is what we have experienced as the company has developed," said Zhang Qin, president of the dairy firm. The business environment in Guiyang is becoming more market-oriented and law-based, providing ample room for development and many business opportunities for local enterprises.

"For example, we used to have to go to the government department ourselves if we wanted to apply for certain preferential policies. Now, government workers will visit the company to inform us of these policies, and sometimes can help us handle them more efficiently," said Zhang.

Guiyang ranked first in the 2023 Guizhou business environment evaluation, performing the best in government services, market supervision and eight other indicators. Xiuwen and Xifeng counties, as well as Wudang and Yunyan districts, all located in Guiyang, were selected among the top 10 districts and counties in Guizhou with the best business environment.
