Hidden among the Danxia peaks of Dajin Lake in Taining county, Sanming city, Fujian province, lies Ganlu Rock. The Taining Danxia landform features many caves, and Ganlu Rock is particularly captivating. A waterfall cascades down the left wall of the cave, which is narrow inside and wide outside, forming an inverted triangle shape. At the left and right corners, there are dragon and phoenix-shaped stalactites that drip water year-round. This sweet and refreshing water resembles sweet dew (ganlu), earning the cave its name "Ganlu Rock". Named after the rock, the temple is called "Ganlu Rock Temple", or simply "Ganlu Temple".
