In celebration of the 2024 Shandong Week in Hong Kong and Macao, the Hong Kong Center of the National Base for International Culture Trade (Jinan) was unveiled on May 26 in Hong Kong.
Wang Lei, director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that Shandong has been prioritizing the deepening of cooperation with Hong Kong. The Hong Kong and Macao regions in China are crucial markets for inbound tourism to Shandong, and there are strong ties between the regions in the cultural and tourism sectors.
Wang also said that establishing the center would play a positive role in expanding the international cultural market and enhancing the global reach of Shandong culture.
The provincial department will continue to support the center in fully leveraging policy and resource advantages. It aims to meet the development needs of cultural and tourism enterprises by providing diverse, multichannel, and comprehensive services, guiding and supporting enterprises in exploring international markets.
The event also featured the signing ceremony for the Thailand center project of the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Jinan).
