Another Ningbo resident conquers Mount Everest

On the morning of May 22, at 8:23 am, Jin Tian, a native of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, reached the awe-inspiring height of 8,848.86 meters on Mount Everest, securing his place as the fifth individual from the city to summit the world's tallest peak.

Upon his arrival at the peak, Jin unfurled a banner carrying a poignant message: "Wishing safety and happiness to the people of Ningbo".

Reflecting on his feat, Jin emphasized the prerequisites for conquering Everest, stating, "A blend of unwavering love, physical prowess, climbing expertise, a sound mental state, and ample time are all indispensable for scaling Everest. It's a journey that demands immense dedication and personal sacrifice, prompting each aspirant to evaluate their readiness before embarking on this monumental endeavor."

Despite the accomplishment, Jin Tian remained grounded. "The act of climbing doesn't redefine my existence. Upon descending, I remain the same unassuming individual. If my expedition serves as a source of inspiration for others, I am genuinely gratified," he said.
