Big Data Expo starts sci-tech achievements collection

Preparations for the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2024 are now underway.

The expo is scheduled to be held in late August in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

It will include exhibitions on the digital economy and data elements, as well as opening and closing ceremonies, dialogues, achievements releases, competitions, and other activities.

The release of the Leading Scientific and Technical Achievements Awards will also be held, with achievements collection and submission starting from May 27.

The awards are divided into two categories: leading scientific and technological achievements, and enterprise achievements.

The former category targets entities around the world, including enterprises, universities, research institutions and industry organizations, covering major scientific discoveries and theoretical achievements in fields including artificial intelligence models, big data, blockchain, cloud computing, 5G, internet, internet of things, and data security, as well as the most cutting-edge and disruptive technological achievements.

The second category targets leading big data companies, covering comprehensive achievements with significant influence and economic benefits being achieved through cutting-edge technologies in such fields as big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, 5G, internet, internet of things, and data security.

Entities can make multiple applications for leading scientific and technological achievements, but each achievement can only be selected for one type of application.

The submission deadline for the first category is 24:00 on July 2 (Beijing time). However, the deadline for applicants in the second category is later, at midnight on July 31.

Eligible applicants can fill out and submit their materials on the "Shubo Fabu (expo release)" section of the Guishangyi platform's "Kejiyun (technology cloud)" area.

Leaders of institutions that win the annual Leading Scientific and Technical Achievements Awards will be invited to attend this year's Big Data Expo and have the opportunity to give on-site speeches.
