On May 15, ARC'TERYX, a globally renowned sports equipment brand, announced the launch of the Leye-Fengshan UNESCO Global Geopark Shegeng Cave World-Class Climbing Site Plan.

Since April 25, a diverse team of elite climbers and experts from China, Spain, Germany, and other countries have been working together in Fengshan county to explore, survey, and test climbing routes at the Shegeng Cave in the Leye-Fengshan UNESCO Global Geopark.

Currently, a total of 59 high-quality climbing routes have been constructed, including 26 routes rated 5.13 and above in difficulty.

Following a series of on-site surveys, route setting, testing, and discussions, the expert team has identified unique features of the cave, such as its large structure, steep cave wall rock formations, and complex rock textures. These, combined with features such as good accessibility, intense interest, climbability in all weather conditions, and convenient transportation and location advantages, make it a truly exceptional world-class climbing site.

ARC'TERYX is dedicated to promoting the development of outdoor climbing in China. The selection of Shegeng Cave in Fengshan for the world-class climbing site plan aims to drive the growth of climbing sports in China, give back to the climbing community, and support the climbing tourism development in the Leye-Fengshan UNESCO Global Geopark.

ARC'TERYX plans to invite more renowned high-difficulty climbers from both domestic and international scenes to Shegeng Cave, aiming to establish and confirm at least one climbing route rated 5.15A and above, injecting more incredible imagination and potential into the Chinese climbing community.
