In recent years, Jinzhong and Taiyuan, two cities in North China's Shanxi province, have been working hard to jointly advance their integrated development, aiming to make contributions to the construction of urban agglomeration in central Shanxi.
The two cities continue to improve their level of transportation connectivity. Meanwhile, in terms of industrial coordination, Yingze district in Taiyuan and Shouyang county in Jinzhong have launched a joint investment promotion and signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
A joint prevention and control mechanism for air pollution has also formed in the two cities, and the construction of rainwater and sewage storage tanks is being accelerated. In recent years, as the ecological governance of the two cities has become more effective, they have jointly promoted the continuous improvement of the local air quality.
At the same time, they continue to explore cooperation and sharing mechanisms in areas such as employment, education, and healthcare. Among these, 100 high-frequency government service items in five categories have achieved "cross-city processing".
In addition, they jointly created theme-based tourism routes, covering 46 scenic spots in the two cities, jointly building up a new regional tourism cooperation model that features scenic spot interaction, mutual route promotion, mutual customer transporting, and market integration.
