Centuries-old golden nanmu add color to Chongqing village

Deep in the mountains of Youyang county in Chongqing, there is a small village famous for having the largest group of 1,000-year-old golden nanmu trees in China. Nearly 10,000 golden nanmu trees of various sizes can be found here, with eight of them being over a thousand years old. The largest one is 3,000 years old, and it takes about 8 people to wrap their arms together around its trunk.

Nanmu is a national second-level key protected plant and golden nanmu tree is one kind of this precious plant.
