China Tourism Day themed activities in Hohhot – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – kicked off on May 19 at the Dahehei Military Cultural Theme Park.
During the event, Hohhot will host a total of 119 cultural and tourism activities in celebration of China Tourism Day.
These include 21 activities at the main venue, 38 activities at 13 sub-venues and 60 series of events across various districts – catering to the growing demand for a broad range of cultural tourism experiences.
The launch event featured the announcement of the third batch of 72 research and tourism bases, 14 camping sites and the first 20 research tourism routes and 40 courses in Hohhot. Additionally, the ceremony for the 2024 Sino-Mongolian "Tea Road" assembly series was held.

Adding to the fun, a camping business exhibition area was set up, showcasing six display camping sites, four camping entertainment projects, educational services for camping sites, camping clubs, camping equipment brands and exhibitions by new energy vehicle manufacturers and mobile phone brands.
The day's activities at the Dahehei Military Cultural Theme Park included a variety of camping-themed events such as a mini Nadam Fair, a food tasting of Hohhot cuisine, a music party, an outdoor movie night and a discussion on developments in camping.
At the Chilechuan main venue, activities including various cultural performances and painting sessions were organized.
